It seems that every week I hear another message about giving and sowing and reaping, but now I know for myself that this is a Bible principle that works.  What we sow, we will reap, whether it is finances or material possessions.  God will even give you the seed to sow that you may reap.  Until about two months ago, I had never owned a tie.  I had previously asked God for six ties.  Within a month, six ties were given to me, including two of my favorites given to me as a Christmas present from my mom.  A couple weeks ago, God put it on my heart to give one of my ties to a particular person.  It was God that gave me the six ties to begin with, so I acted quickly in obedience.  I kept my ties in my car until I saw that person again, and gave him the option to pick whichever of my ties he wanted.

He picked my favorite one, but I blessed him with it anyway.  That same day, someone gave me another tie, bringing my number of ties back to six.  I believe God wanted to bless me beyond what I had asked, and gave me an opportunity to sow, that I may reap even more.  Earlier this week I was blessed with 19 more ties.  Now I have more ties than I know what to do with.  After looking back at this experience, I have decided that no matter what God asks me to give, I will give, because whatever I sow, I shall reap.  This experience has changed my perspective and attitude for when God asks me to give, especially in the area of finances.  I will trust God to be faithful in this Biblical principle.
